Jabalpur bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court has sought applications for 47 posts. These appointments will be made on the basis of direct recruitment to the posts of District Judge . For this, Madhya Pradesh Higher Judicial Service Examination (Entry Level) -2020 will be organized. The online application process will start on January 28. Interested candidates can apply online till 7 February 2020. All the benefits related to reservation will be given only to the original residents of Madhya Pradesh. Applicants from other states will be considered as an unreserved category.

Eligibility
- Candidates should have a law degree from a recognized university.
- At least seven years of work experience as a lawyer is necessary.
- With this, the candidate is required to have basic knowledge of computer applications.
Pay Scale: Rs 51,550 to Rs 63,070.
Age Range
- Minimum age is 35 years andmaximum age is 45 years. Age will be calculated based on 01 January 2020.
Selection Process
- The examination will be conducted in three stages for the selection of qualified candidates. In the firstphase there will be online preliminary examination , in the second phase the main examination and in the third phase there will be interview .
Exam format
Online Preliminary Examination: This will be a total of 150 marks and multiple choice. In this, questions related to various subjects including Indian Constitution, Civil Procedure Code, Indian Contract Act, Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, General Knowledge, Computer Knowledge, English Knowledge will be asked.
- There will be no negative marking in the examination. The duration of the examination will be two hours.
- This will be a qualifying nature test and its marks will not be added.
Main exam
-Merit list of the candidates who have cleared the online preliminary examination will be made and on this basis they will be called for the main examination. This exam will be explanatory in nature and will have four papers. Each question paper will be of 100 marks.
- The exam for the four question papers will be held on two consecutive days. Each will be given three hours to solve.
- The first question paper will be ofconstitution , civil law and procedure. The second question will be of paper writing and summarization.
- The third question paper will be related to local law, criminal law and procedure. The fourth question paper will be decision writing.
Interview: The successful candidates in the main examination will be called for interview. 50 marksare fixed for this.
Final selection basis
Final selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the main examination and merit based on the marks obtained in the interview.
Application fee
-Rs 795.30 for candidates from the unreserved category and other states. It also includes portal charge and 18 percent GST.
- The reserved class of Madhya Pradesh will have to pay 395.30 only for portal charge and GST.
- Fees can be paid through MPOnline's authorized kiosks or CSCs. Apart from this, fees can also be paid through internet banking or credit/debit card.
